Friday we managed to get into town and enjoy the french way of life, by sitting in a cafe with a croissant and espresso. I had pain au chocolate with one shot of espresso, and it was good espresso! I couldn't help but think of Aunite Sue and how much we enjoyed our pain au chocolate et cafe au lait...
I don't usually take espresso straight, however, I think its the better way to go...less calories! hehe It was quite good, I was pleasantly surprised. The pain au chocolate balanced out the strong, bold espresso. It was the perfect combination. I tried to order a mocha, but apparantly that is an American phenomenon, because what I got was espresso! I guess I am still a little lost in translation...
