We vacation alot over here...February brought another week a vacation for me. I had the privilege of spending a week in Provence and the Cote d'Azur with Jack and Deanne. Stephen came too.
It was a really relaxing week. We started in Beaucaire, a small little town outside of Avigon. We had a beautiful, roomy appartment there, very provencal. We drove to Carcassonne one day and saw the old city. Jack found us an amazing restaurant called "La Tete de l'Art". It was truly provencal and vegetarian to boot! What an experience. We spent a day in Avignon, visiting the Palais de Papes and seeing the other history there.
From Avignon we drove to St. Jean Cap Ferrat, a little town outside of Nice, on a penninsula. It was absolutely beautiful, right along the Mediterranean Sea. We walked around our penninsula, visited Nice, Monaco, ate at the Magic Pumpkin (the most gourmet vegetarian food I have ever had), made amazing food (crepes, of course), enjoyed the water, went swimming (entered beginning stages of hypothermia), walked the ports, had salade nicoise and pizza nicoise, sat in the sun! and enjoyed being together.
Jack and Deann were so generous; they provided so much for me and planned such an amazing trip. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks you two!
We drove back Sunday, back into the snow and fog, back to our winter wonderland!
