Procrastination..

Strong winds today; 
Almost blown off the map like
river currents about a rock.  
Not always blowing straight tho’ 
And sometimes coming steady, 
right back in the face.

It’s cold too, for California. 
Almost freezing, but actually 
sending chills in swirls 
so as to sweep in the tradition and 
cheer of the Season -- inside;  
strong and confidant and brilliant.

Stirring noise, around anticipation  
of consistent work and festive light,
not seeing light yet--but knowing 
the strong beam beats so soon,
so steady and sometimes even
explodes; strong, confident and this time

beautiful.
