Carnivali

Life takes you strange places. That was evident last night when we (Alyssa, Andrew, William and I) ended up in the Little Italy of San Diego. Not only were we in Little Italy, but we were attending their 9th annual Carnivalian Italian celebration of culture, music, family and wine...or so I observed. People were dressed up and in congnito, I think more so because of mardi gras, but their costumes fit in nicely with the Carnivali theme as well. 

So we celebrated any Italian that we might have in us by enjoying especially fresh, homemade pasta a la arrabiata, delicious risotto and of course, gelatto. Little Italy was delightfully entertaining, lively and welcoming. We felt like part of the family.
