This woman taught me everything I know

...and a little bit more. Wishing Happy Birthday to the most inspiring, accomplished, audacious, intelligent, graceful, godly woman I know. I only hope to be half as amazing as you some day. Love you mom

Embrace it.

I've had some funny things said about my hair lately. I'm not the least bit offended, simply entertained by the things people say. Just recently someone asked me, "How do you do your hair? It's so... ( long pause ) ...unique." Another said, "Do you ever straighten it?" (...was that a suggestion?) And still someone else said "Um, is that natural?" My favorite hair compliment however, came from a teacher. While going through my clinical evaluation (an evaluation that employers have access to if wanting more information on you as a possible employee), she looked up at me and said, "Now your hair, it looks windblown today." And she wrote it down on my evaluation, in ink. So if a future employer does not want an employee with "windblown hair" that'll be a problem. I have no issues with my hair and I thank the good Lord for it every day. But isn't it funny what people think are appropriate words ? I...

No Reservations

Tomorrow morning we leave at 6:45 for Paree! I am very excited, seeing as this will be my first time to Paris. However, after Paris we have a ten day break. I have made plans to travel to Glasgow and London with three other girls. I have purchased all but three of my tickets (hopefully I can get that third one panned out...) and we still don't have any hostels reserved for our first night in Glasgow. We arrive really late, so I think it would be smart to have something worked out. At this point, sleeping in the airport is sounding like our best option :) So I'm launching off on a huge adventure, one that I never thought I would ever be on. Loose in Europe, with three girls I met six weeks ago, no reservations, flights purchased for as little as 0.49 euro cents and lots of COURAGE! Yikes! What am I doing?! Boy do I have some good experiences ahead...I will be sure to take lots of pictures.
