It's been so fun to be in the hospital, learning all day. (I'd rather be there, than in class learning all day.) Hands on, practical, skills I'm going to use, things I need to know, pertinent to today, right now...Last week we spent an afternoon inserting umbilical lines (UAV's and UVC's). We would only be inserting these in an emergency, when immediate line access is needed. So, it's not likely that I'll be inserting a real one of these any time soon. However, if ever there's an emergency and an umbilical venous catheter is needed, let me know! I might be able to help.
